Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León

Vinos de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal currently owns 198 hectares of vines in the districts of Toro and San Román de Hornija, which both belong to the Toro appellation. 100% of the vines are grafted onto stocks with low levels of vigour in the typical gravel soils of the terraces of the River Duero.

Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo): a variety obtained from the mass selection of the best plots of this variety from the Duero region. It produces aromatic, full-bodied wines with good colour, backbone, freshness and intensity.

Riscal Tempranillo was launched in 1999 with the 1998 vintage. 85% of the production goes for export.

A new profile in Marques de Riscal, with a more international style, with greater structure and a predominance of fruit.

Verdejo: The Segovia verdejo is different to that of Rueda due to the acid, granite nature of the soil.
Barón de Chirel Verdejo is produced from very old vines of more than 100 years in age, ungrafted, on pre-phylloxera stocks from the Aldeanueva del Codonal and Aldehuela districts, goblet pruned.
